Another anomaly

 

Another anomaly in Great Hills Park on June 13th was this American germander (Teucrium canadense) that seemed to have been faring quite well in spite of its retroflex stalk. While the flowers near the base had begun to dry out, buds were opening higher up and plenty of buds were developing from there to the tip of the stalk.
