A scenic detour

 

As fabulous as the October 12th visit to City of Rocks State Park proved to be, along the 90-mile return to our base in Las Cruces I detoured down Stirrup Road Southeast south of Deming to check out the landscape on the way to Rockhound State Park.

 

 

This post shows you some of the mountains along that road.

 

 

The vistas didn’t disappoint.

I’ve never tried to do photomicrography. Some of the people who have have gotten striking results, as you can see from the 2022 Nikon Photomicrography Contest winners and honorable mentions.
