More from Peggy’s Cove

with 16 comments

On June 3, 2018, we visited Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia.
Supplementing the pictures from there that I showed last year are the ones in today’s anniversary post.

  1. So many textures. I particularly like the second and fourth photos, with a seemingly out of place element or an unusual detail adding interest to the images. I like the ‘bearded rock’ in the first photo, too.

    • Just call me Mr. Texture—at least for this post. Those seemingly out-of-place elements in the second and fourth photographs are indeed what attracted me to take those pictures. As for what you said about the first, it occurs to me that I carry a bearded “rock” around with me all the time.

  3. On land scraped from a descending continental plate. Nova Scotia is on our list of places to visit. Thanks for these memories, well done, Steve.

    • You’re welcome. It took seven decades for this someone who grew up in New York to finally make it to the Maritime Provinces. You should go for it. I’d also gladly return, given how many more scenic places there we didn’t have time to visit.

  4. I love these, and I can tell you love the place. It shows. The second photo, with the waving grasses and that one rock – perfection.

    • Yeah, I went a bit crazy scampering over the rocks at Peggy’s Cove. Most visitors are drawn to the lighthouse there, but not me. I have to wonder if someone tossed that rock into all that brown waviness in the second picture, or if the rock ended up there through natural causes.
