The Lower Falls

On March 1st at McKinney Falls State Park I photographed, among other things, the falls, specifically what are called the Lower Falls. In this closeup, the green algae whose destiny is to be swept into long strands by flowing water strike me as chlorophyll stalactites, though no such thing exists. Even at as fast a shutter speed as 1/800 sec. my camera slowed down but didn’t stop the falling of the water in Onion Creek as it went over the falls.
