What did the dew do too to camphorweed?

Settled on it, of course. Just as the dew fell on the firewheel that you saw two posts ago, so it fell on these flower heads of camphorweed, Heterotheca subaxillaris, a wildflower that has appeared several times in these pages.

In the last post, the patches of color in the background were from this species. Now there are patches of a different color in the background, this time from purple bindweed, Ipomoea cordatotriloba, another wildflower that we’ve seen before.
